Build Self-Awareness: Your Need For Reason

Build Self-Awareness: Your Need For Reason

Andy and Peter are entrepreneurs.

Andy is decisive, has a bias for action, and has a reputation for "getting it done."

Peter tends to be more creative.

He tends to think, and ponder, and take his time.

He's what you might call an "out of the box" thinker.

Each have lived their lives this way.

The roots of who they are being and how they act can be traced back to their earliest years.

Under the hood, each person has a different need for reason.

That is, Andy and Peter make meaning and reason differently.

Andy focuses more on his action and how he responds to his environment.

Peter focuses on the why, understanding the reason behind what makes the world move.

Andy does not have a strong desire for reason. Remember, he has a bias for taking action.

Peter has a strong desire for reason. Peter wants to know. He wants to know about the world around him.

When we are self-aware, we understand that we create our own reasons.

When we are self-aware, we understand that we live within the meaning of language.

When we are self-aware, we understand that we create our own language and we each individually live within that version of reality.

Are you an Andy or a Peter?

Does your approach serve you?
