The Power of Being Grounded

Mental Tools – The Power of Being Grounded

Being grounded.

Well balanced.

Sensible.

When out at sea, motion sickness can happen.

Motion sickness occurs when mixed signals are sent to the brain by the eyes, ears, and body.

One solution is to focus on the horizon. It does not move.

This is grounding.

In yoga, when holding a posture that requires physical balance, it is suggested to focus on an object that does not move.

This is grounding.

Grounding has the power to support you in holding something.

Holding an accurate perception of reality when in motion.

Holding a posture.

Grounding can also equip you in holding who you are.

Self-doubt, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, indecision, etc.

These are symptoms of poor grounding.

The core is lack of grounding.

When you know who you are, you are grounded.

When you know what you value, you are grounded.

When your sense of self is profoundly strong, you are grounded.

This is not something we are taught in school.

This is not always an "easy" answer... but they are your answers.

True to who you are and how you are.

A lifetime can be lived without one ever finding their footing. Their grounding.

I invite you.

Get curious about what grounds you.

Get curious about that journey.

It may be the most meaningful journey you traverse.
